Comstock, Barton, MD

Biography:

Born in Mason City, Iowa to missionary parents, Dr. Comstock grew up in a number of places including Columbia and Brazil, South America, and Kansas.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana before pursuing his medical education at the University of Kansas.  His post-graduate training was completed at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Comstock is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.  He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Michigan Chapter of the AAP, the Christian Medical and Dental Society and the Michigan State Medical Society.  He has been with Southwestern Medical Clinic since 1977.

Dr. Comstock provides pediatric services including well child care, immunizations and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

Dr. Comstock and his wife, Marilyn, have one son and one daughter.  He is a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America and enjoys photography and beekeeping.  Travel takes him to the Central Americas for short term missionary projects.
