•
Donations can
be accumulated over time for future missionary expenses, e.g.,
funds can be set aside for future short-term mission trips that a
donor or his designee is expecting to take.
•
Donations
from multiple people can be combined to facilitate larger sized
donations on behalf of medical missions. For example, the
Fools-For-Christ Investors Club is one way that SWMC Providers
encourage each other to work together to make larger sized
donations on behalf of medical missions.
•
Donations can receive tax-deductible status during the year of
their donation, even if the receiving agency will not be ready to
receive the donation until another tax-year.
•
Donors can take advantage of the broad knowledge which the Board
of Directors has regarding worthy medical missions causes.
Donations directed to be used "where most needed" will
be directed to such a worthy cause.
•
Donors can give non-cash instruments (gifts-in-kind or various
estate planning transfers) to the foundation, making themselves
eligible for the appropriate tax-benefit while empowering the
foundation to deliver the donated resource to a worthy recipient.
