At SWMC your phlebotomist is a registered, caring individual who knows you and puts you at ease from the moment she/he greets you to the time you leave. When you enter our facility, a cheerful receptionist greets you and asks for your name, date of birth, your insurance information and driver’s license. Your phlebotomist will confirm your name and date of birth and carefully review the physicians orders. After the procedure is completed, Lab Technologists analyze your specimen with care.

Why do I have to present my insurance card at every visit?
At Southwestern Medical Clinic  Laboratory, we assist hundreds of patients every day.  Physicians may order many specialized tests, which we send to our reference labs. To assure that your tests are covered by your insurance at the correct testing facility, we ask that you present your insurance card at every visit. We also like to update your information while you are at our receptionist’s desk since some lab tests are processed differently for different labs. When we work together as a health care team, the quality of care increases.
