About Us
Southwestern Medical Clinic, P.C. (SWMC) provides a wide-range of healthcare services
to the residents of southwestern Michigan. In this section, you will find the following
information about our organization:
History and Services
Southwestern Medical Clinic began in the 1960's in rural southwestern Michigan as
a medical practice with a focus on supporting and encouraging missionary physicians.
We have grown to become a unique, multi-specialty medical practice with over 40
physicians and over 50 total providers working at eight office locations in Berrien
County, Michigan. The clinic has 11 total locations including both an administrative
office and a billing center.
Southwestern Medical Clinic integrates primary care, family practice critical care, general surgery, infectious disease, internal medicine, ob/gyn, pediatrics, and physical therapy into a unified body of service offerings and providers. Focus of our Work
Since its founding, SWMC has maintained a Christian ministry practice combining
a private business structure with a heart for Christian mission. Our focus is on
serving Jesus Christ through medical care, local and foreign missions, and Christian
witness. Our not-for-profit foundation offers scholarships
to help students and residents experience short term Medical Mission work.
We focus on treating and serving patients in need who may not have access to other
providers, while also delivering the best care available to everyone in the community.
Whether it's through serving a large percentage of southwestern Michigan’s
Medicaid and Medicare recipients, reaching out to indigent, under-insured, or uninsured
patients, or traveling overseas to the places where God calls us to serve, we at
SWMC are dedicated to treating all those in need to the best of our ability and
with the best available resources.
