SWMC Missions Program

SWMC sets aside 10% of its receipts to fund its missions program. The majority of these funds are distributed by member physicians to Medical Missions and other Christian purposes. Portions of the money help support our overseas missionaries, although member physicians serving overseas raise their own support which is channeled to them through the mission agency with whom they are affiliated. Other uses of mission dollars include underwriting expenses by physicians serving the poor in the United States or offsetting office expenses when physicicans take short-term mission trips.
